			The following is taken VIA the Internet on 4-18-06 The Chelsea Standard Deaths Pinckney Herman L Tanner, 87, of Pinckney died at his home Nov. 9, 2005. He was born Aug. 5, 1918, the son of Leroy and Eva (Blackman) Tanner in Harrisburg, Ill. Mr. Tanner Married Margaret Smith, and she preceded him in death in October 1976. Mr. Tanner enjoyed the art of photography, with fall being his favorite season. He also enjoyed computers, Boy Scouts and animals, especially horses and dogs. He is survived by His children Nancy (Tim) Williams of Foresthill, Calif., Laurie (Jim) Godsey of Hampton, Va., and Pat (Alicia) Tanner of Dexter. Also Surviving are his five grandchildren, Casey Morrison, Nicole Godsey, Daniel Tanner, Cheyenne Tanner and Paige Tanner. Mr. Tanner also was preceded in death by his sone, Thomas Tanner and his brothers and sisters. A funeral was held Tuesday at Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home in Chelsea. The Rev Winfred French officiated. Burial was at St Mary's Cemetery in Pinckney. Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice.
