Alice Martha Parish Married Leeroy Tanner in the 1930s. They only had one son.
Parish Lee Tanner. She did not have any brothers to carry on the Parish Family name
so she named her son Parish for the family and Lee as the middle name for her
husband. It is said that during either WWI or WWII she worked in the Pentagon or
somewhere in Washington for the War effort. This has not been Verified as of yet. She
passed away in 1981 almost 6 months to the day after her husband Leeroy passed
away. This may have been a case of losing the will to live with out her great love.

One of the thing she was Very Proud of was being a member of the Daughters of the
American Revolution. She was one of the Organizing members (3-25-1927) of the
Michael Hillegas Chapter of Harrisburg, Illinois.  The other members were

Brown, Ruth Hine
Cavender, Alathes Caldwell
Cook, May Pearce
Fredrick, Nell Pearce
Howell, Mary Mitchell
Hutton, Fay
Martin, Mildred Caroline Parish
Parish, Alice Martha
Parrish, Bessie S.
